A Support Technical IT Executive is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to users within an organization. They troubleshoot hardware and software issues, offer guidance on IT systems and applications, and ensure the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure. They work closely with end-users to address their technical concerns and provide timely resolutions.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and assistance to end-users via various channels, such as phone, email, or in person.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and update operating systems, software applications, and drivers.
Troubleshoot network connectivity problems, both wired and wireless.
Assist in the setup and configuration of new computer systems and devices.
Educate users on IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps.
Collaborate with IT teams to escalate complex issues and follow up on problem resolution.
Ensure compliance with IT security protocols and data protection policies.
Provide basic training and guidance to end-users on using software applications and systems.
Mandatory Requirements of Candidates
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in technical support or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
Familiarity with network protocols, troubleshooting tools, and remote support techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests.
Knowledge of IT security best practices and data protection regulations.
Experience with ticketing systems or IT service management tools.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or ITIL Foundation are a plus.
